By Swarnali Goswami (TNI Kolkata) | TNI Editing Kolkata
Webdesk, TNI Kolkata, 09th September, 2016: A fire broke out at around 1.30 PM inside the server room of the central library of Presidency University probably because of some kind of electrical botch-up from the Air-Conditioning machine. Thick black smoke engulfed the entire campus of the University. It is reported that an unidentified student (probably of the University) suffered minor injuries when he, along with others, fell down while trying to flee fearing the blaze was a massive fire. Panic gripped the teachers and the students. Five fire tenders were pressed into service and students as well as teachers were evacuated from the century-old building said a senior police officer of the Fire Services.
